I have always been interested in what makes people tick.  Consequently, it is no wonder that I became a psychotherapist, have been more than 35 years in practice, and am still excited by this endeavor. Originally trained in psychoanalytic theory and treatment, I have continued my education through formal postgraduate training programs, consultations and clinical experience, resulting in  becoming more eclectic.  Newer theories backed up by research and clinical practice have included mind/body considerations, trauma treatment and the crucial importance of attachments.

As a lifelong learner I continue to explore new techniques, so I am better able to help you change, grow, and achieve your goals. In addition to training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, I have certificates in Alcoholism Treatment, and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. Additionally, I have completed Parts 1,2, & 3 of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) training, and am eligible for certification.

My practice spans ages from adolescents through seniors, and encompasses people from different sexual orientations, ethnicities and lifestyles.  My range of practice includes individual, couple, and EMDR treatment.
